Skiing in the Lechtal and Arlberg area

A special kind of experience. Enjoy the best Ski-runs and tracks in our region on a day with our experts. Enjoy the fantastic powder snow on best groomed tracks or unspoiled terrain. Get to know the most beautiful ski runs in our area. Snow is guaranteed from December until April.

We have our own ski rental including ski service. Take advantage of our guest card and use the bus transfer free of charge (every 30 minutes) to our ski region.

Cross-Country Skiing

The Valley of Cross-Country-Skiiers. With a length of 120 kilometers and numerous circuits for beginners and experts. Cross country skiing is one of the most healthy sports to participate in for your fitness. Special attention has to be paid to the trail which starts in Steeg and is continuous to Forchach - after all 50 kilometers one way are ahead of the persistent skiers who want to go for an extra mile. In nearly all villages you can find different skiing circuits. No matter if "classic" or "skating" - one thing they have in common, is that they are all groomed until 10:00 in the morning at the latest. Not to forget: you can use them all for free!

Sledges and Sleighs

Plenty of fun and entertainment for young and old alike. With big sleighs, called "Hornern", in earlier times hay was brought in the winter from the mountains to the valley. Nowadays sledge rides are an enjoyable get-together, a folksy experience. In the Lech valley we have a total of 8 costing slides. The one in Holzgau is illuminated and on a few days a week you can be transported up the mountain with a tractor. You can start your sledge jamboree immediately from the doorstep.

Sleigh rides with horses are offered weekly and lead you through snow-covered landscapes in the Upper Valley.

Winter hiking

In the Lech valley 100 kilometers of hiking trails wait for you. Also in the winter season there are multiple hiking destinations. The Lech valley is well known as a hiking region and this not only in summertime. Also in the cold season there are multiple destinations. Romantic ways for young and old. Starting in the villages and winding through the fields, into forests and past the Lech. Ideal to let your mind, body and soul wander, and to recharge your batteries in the fresh air of the mountains.
